Image result for national trustIf you love history, beautiful gardens and stately homes then become members of the National Trust and English Heritage. You'll be surprised how much of the country you will see. There are over 400 English Heritage sites and over 500 National Trust sites so you are bound to have one or two in your county alone. I became a member last year for both organisations and have love it. I will be renewing my membership later this year as I have a few trips planned.

I originally became a National Trust member because I love Jane Austen and Colin Firth so I decided I was going to go to 'Pemberley', which are two houses Lyme Park and Sudbury Hall. I wanted to walk where Colin had walked. I had such an amazing time that I joined right there at the first house. Since then I have been to a few more places and plan to go to more.

After having such a great time with my membership for the National Trust, I then became a member of English Heritage. You will find some places are managed by either organisation so you will have plenty to see should you only join one organisation. When you join either group you will be given a car sticker, a handbook and magazines every few months showing you the latest events going on in your area.
