Kedleston Hall

Kedleston Hall is a beautiful stately home in Derbyshire. It belongs to the Curzon family and designed by Robert Adam. It is a National Trust property and worth visiting if you are ever in the area.

The inside is just as impressive as the outside. My favourite room was the marble hall. It has a very Roman feel to it, with columns and statues. It's just beautiful. The house is surrounded by acres of land which has sheep roaming freely so be careful when driving down the long drive that you don't hit any. There is also a chapel on the property which is open to the public. There is also a mini museum which holds a collection of antiques and clothing, including a dress belonging to one of the Lady Curzon. Her portrait is in the house wearing the dress.

The hall also features in some movies such as The Duchess, Jane Eyre, War & Peace and upcoming film The legend of Tarzan starring Alexander Skarsgard. If you watch the film keep an eye out for the Hall.
